Hyatt House Kuala Lumpur, Mont Kiara- will mark the first Hyatt House hotel in Malaysia and South East Asia. Located in Mont’ Kiara, an affluent suburb located five kilometers from downtown Kuala Lumpur, the hotel will feature approximately 298 guestrooms, a three-meal restaurant, 3,100 square feet of meeting space, a fitness center, and a sky pool. Scheduled to open in late 2017, the hotel will be part of a larger mixed use development, Arcoris Mont’ Kiara, which will feature business suites, small home offices (“SoHo”), residential units, and a retail plaza.

We are currently looking for an experienced "Lead Host-Reservations & Revenue",to contribute to the Sales & Marketing team in order to ensure that efficiency, accuracy and timeliness and commercial success is achieved, while maintaining Hyatt Hotel's high standards of Reservations & Revenue Management.

This is an Assistant Manager Position that reports directly to the Director of Sales

You are known for your ability to communicate at all levels, a positive "can-do" attitude, are detail orientated and you are able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and be constantly hands on and ready to lend expertise within other departments of the hotel.

*Demonstrate a passion and proven results for coaching and leading reservations & communications team members to success.

*Demonstrate a face pace ability to learn & grow in utilizing Hyatt proprietary Sales & Revenue Management Systems.

*Demonstrate a face pace ability to learn & grow in utilizing Hyatt Distribution systems which involves OTAs and GDS

*Under the guidance of Director of Sales, your will provide analysis and reports and thus make fact base decisions that makes commercial sense and execute strategies and actions that will benefit the profitability and revenue growth of the hotel.

*Hotel experience with hotel properties or serviced residences that have over 230 rooms will be preferred due to the complexity of the management process.

  • Previous hotel pre-opening experience in reservations, will be a significant added advantage

*A minimum of 4 years or more work experience in a role within an international chain hotel reservations department

*Demonstrate the ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds. Proven track record of managing associates will be an advantage.

*Good hotel industry track record in areas of Reservations, Guest Experience Planners and Front office

  • Possess a Degree, Diploma or equivalent professional certification in either Hospitality, Tourism Management, Business Administration or Marketing

*Fluent in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia. The ability to converse in other languages will be an added advantage
