Hyatt Regency Vancouver is seeking a dedicated, professional, customer-service oriented individual to join the Operations division as Assistant Director of Operations.

The Assistant Director of Operations is responsible for both the food and beverage and rooms divisions and to function as the Assistant Business Manager and Assistant Marketing Specialist for the Food and Beverage Division, which includes 5 food and beverage outlets and to ensure that all the outlets operate efficiently and successfully, in accordance with the standard of the hotel and are individually profitable. 2 years’ work experience as Assistant Director of Operations, with a strong background in F&B in larger operation an asset.

* Must possess a true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment. * Must be able to estimate food and beverage costs and requisitions or purchases supplies. * Knowledge of food sanitation and procedures to be able to inspect food and food preparation maintaining quality standards and sanitation regulations. * Capable of conducting investigations and resolving food quality and service complaints. * Have financial proficiency to review financial transactions and monitor budget to ensure efficient operation, and to ensure expenditures stay within budget limitations. * Extensive food and beverage knowledge to review menus, analyze recipes, determine food, labor, and overhead costs, and assign prices to menu items. * Must have extensive customer service experience to be able to ensure excellence in food and beverage service delivery * Strong marketing sales skills in F&B to market and promote all outlets via a myriad of platforms to drive business * Ability to develop and recommend to the budget, marketing plans and objectives and manages within those approved plans * Strong leaderships skills to supervise Operations Departments, * Ability to assimilate operational statistics quickly and see how they can be used to enhance position of property * Ability to drive increased customer service scores and leverage opportunities in efficiencies * Experience in developing and following standards and operating procedures. * Experience in conducting special projects related to Rooms and Food and Beverage divisions * High energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line * Able to perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Operations
