Hyatt Events Sales Manager in India

Description:
Grand Hyatt Kochi, located on Bolgatty Island is slated to open in mid-2017. The hotel has 265 guest rooms, 5600 sq.m. of convention space amongst other facilities.

The position is responsible for selling and successful implementation of conferences and events. You need to build on client relationships while keeping with the hotels culture and approach to maintain a high level of client loyalty. Has ability to multitask; good negotiation skills; ability to work to deadlines, targets and under pressure; effective communication skills; is an active listener and a good problem solver. In line with this, you need to continuously upsell to the client to increase hotel and departmental revenue to reach and exceed targets.

Reporting to Director of Events, the role falls within the Sales and Marketing division of the hotel. Therefore, in addition to the main tasks you also assists the Sales team by conducting site visits and attending familiarisations and networking events.

Qualifications:
Ideally with a university degree or diploma in Marketing or Hospitality/Tourism management. Minimum 2 years work experience as Manager of Catering or Convention Services in large operations. Good operational, administrative and interpersonal skills are a must. Must be proficient in computer knowledge. This position may require travelling too.
