Hyatt Restaurant Manager – The Dining Room in SYDNEY, Australia
* Ensures that the outlet is managed efficiently according to the established concept statement, providing a courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service at all times, following the restaurant standards of performance. * Identifies market needs both within hotel guests and the local market * Has a full working knowledge and capability to supervise, correct and demonstrate all duties and tasks in the assigned place of work to the set standards. * Ensures that all employees provide a friendly, courteous and professional service at all times. * Liaises with the Kitchen Department and Sommelier on daily operations and quality control. * Has a thorough knowledge and understanding of all food and beverage items in the menu and the ability to recommend Food and Beverage combinations and upsell alternatives. * Assists in the recruitment and selection of all Food and Beverage employees; follows the hotel guidelines when recruiting and uses a competency-based approach to selecting employees. * Encourages employees to be creative and innovative, challenging and recognising them for their contribution to the success of the operation. * Conducts regular departmental communications briefing and meetings.
* Holds a diploma/degree in Hospitality Management specialising in Food and Beverage Management * Excellent customer service and interpersonal Skills * Current NSW RSA Certificate * Familiar with wine styles and grape varieties and other beverage items * Well developed computer skills particularly in the use of MS Office and email * Effective trainer and service coach, able to facilitate at all levels * Minimum 2 years work experience as Restaurant Manager in a luxury hotel or a fine dining restaurant * Permanent residency or unrestricted working rights in Australia
