Hyatt Front Desk Supervisor at Manor Vail Lodge in VAIL, Colorado


Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests.

Issues room key and assist guests with directions and an overview of property and amenities.

Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services; registration of guests; and shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.

Keeps records of room availability and guests' accounts.

Computes bill, collects payment, and makes change for guests.

Posts charges such as room, food, liquor, or telephone, to ledger.

Deposits guests' valuables in hotel safe or safe deposit box.

Completes shift check list as assigned.

Uses private exchange (PBX) switchboard to connect all incoming phone calls to the hotel.

Answers, screens, and routes all outside calls.

Supplies general information to callers and connects calls to the appropriate staff.

Performs clerical duties such as copying, faxing and scanning.

Prepares Fed Ex shipments for pick up.

Uses hotel service optimization system (Hot SOS) to place work orders for guests and owners.

Places all welcome calls to guests/owners to ensure guest satisfaction. Reconciles and puts the appropriate notes in Hot Sos.

Places mid-stay calls to all guests who are staying 4 or more days to ensure guest satisfaction.

Intercommunication between departments will be performed using various equipment to include two-way radios, apps to include Voxer and software to include Hot Sos.

Monitors and maintains device/radio/ gate clicker logout sheets.

Monitors parking gates and communicates to the appropriate staff to notify them of arrivals, vendors, contractors and employee appointments.

Maintains PBX functions to include voicemail boxes, phone line restriction, phone forwards, DND’s and wake up calls.
